Think you know Bitcoin? Prove it.

21 questions that get harder with every block, against the clock. Three lifelines, a crowd of opinionated plebs, three levels up to Impossible.

How it plays

One wrong answer and it's over

  1. Beat the clock. Every question has 30 seconds (on Impossible the clock halves at blocks 8 and 15). Pick an answer, then lock it in.
  2. Grow your chain. Each right answer adds a block and moves you up the ladder.
  3. Bank your points. Blocks 7 and 14 are safe havens: points reached there are yours to keep.
  4. Know when to walk. Not sure? Walk away with what you have before you answer.

Thirty more seconds on the clock when the question needs thinking about. On Impossible it adds one more block's worth of the halved clock.

The crowd shouts, heckles and votes. They're usually right. Usually.

Challenge your friends

Same questions. Head to head.

Challenge

Your score against a friend's, on the same questions.

Every player's best game, ranked by points then time.

Fastest

Play it in the room

Live at meetups and conferences

Put the game on the big screen. The host runs it from their phone, one person at a time plays on theirs, and the rest of the room is the plebs: when the player asks them, everyone votes from their seat and the bars fill on screen. Right or wrong stays hidden until the host reveals it.

In the app: Live → Host an event. Open satmil.live/CODE on the screen. Nothing to install on the TV.

Host

Name the event, pick the level, get a 4-letter code. Pick contestants at random, reveal answers when you're ready.

Contestant

Join with the code and tap "I'll play". When you're picked, the game starts on your phone.

Crowd

Join as "Just watching". You're the Ask the Plebs lifeline: vote live when a player calls on you.

The live screen: a contestant's question and four answers, the clock, the crowd's poll and the 21-block ladder

FAQ

Questions, answered

Anything else? Ask us.

Is it free?

Yes. The game is free to download and free to play. Sponsors pay for three clearly marked sponsor blocks in each game, which is how we keep it free.

Do I mine real blocks or win bitcoin?

No. The blocks are a nod to how Bitcoin works: each right answer adds a block to your chain in the game. You play for points, and points have no cash value. We may add a sponsor-funded Prize Block later that pays real sats where the law allows; it would come with its own rules.

How hard is it?

The first blocks are warm-ups. The questions get harder with every block, and the last few are tough even for people who have been around Bitcoin for years. That is the point.

Are there difficulty levels?

Three. Easy is for everyone: a gentle start, for half points. Intermediate is the full game, and the Daily Block is always played on it. Impossible is for the hardcore: hard from the first block and expert soon after, the plebs are less reliable, and the clock halves like bitcoin's block reward, 30 seconds for blocks 1 to 7, 20 for blocks 8 to 14 and 10 for blocks 15 to 21. Triple points if you survive.

How do challenges work?

Finish a game and tap Challenge a friend. They get a link to the exact same 21 questions. When they finish, you both see who won.

When is it coming to iPhone and Google Play?

Soon. Leave your email below and we will tell you the day it lands. Android players can install it now from this page.

Is the Android download safe?

It is the same app we submit to Google Play, signed by us. Download it only from satoshimillionaire.app. The first time, Android asks you to allow installs from your browser; you can switch that off again afterwards.

Do I need an account?

No. You can play straight away. Sign in with your email to get on the leaderboards, keep your streak across phones and collect sponsor discount codes.
